In my eighteen years as manager of the transfer station MRRA has done an excellent job of marketing our materials.  They have saved me countless hours by staying on top of the recycling markets and getting the best prices in both high and low demand markets.  They are a reliable source of information in numerous areas of the recycling and solid waste industry and if they don’t have the information they can usually point you to someone who does.  The annual Solid Waste Conference is always educational and is great for making contacts with both regulatory agencies and vendors.  I look forward to working with MRRA as they continue to adapt and grow with an ever changing industry.

The time that I spent at the Maine Recycling and Solid Waste Conference

was well worth the effort. I came away with a wealth of information.

At the next Brownfield Selectman’s meeting, I informed the other Board members of the many things I had seen and learned. Based on this

conference, I felt we had a lot of work at our Transfer Station. The other members agreed and so it began.
